Sean Ivan Giving a Therapy Demonstration

Sean Ivan served in the United States Army as a combat medic and wanted to remain in the medical field when he got out of the Army. He attended the Southeastern School on Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Jacksonville, Florida, earning a Certificate. Sean is licensed as a massage therapist by the Florida Board of Massage.

Sean became Kyle Wright’s assistant for the Clinical Neuromuscular Massage class and assisted him for two years until Kyle relocated to Greenville, South Carolina to open a new school.

Sean taught functional anatomy for two years then joined Kyle in Greenville to direct the Greenville Southeastern School. Sean returned to Jacksonville to become the Corporate Director of Education for the Southeastern Schools located in Jacksonville, FL; Charleston, SC; Columbia, SC; Greenville, SC; and Charlotte, NC.

Sean worked at the Wright Centers of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy in Jacksonville, FL, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Greenville, SC, where he specialized in soft tissue pain and dysfunction. Sean has experience working with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Carolina Panthers, Greenville Growl hockey and multiple professional golfers in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

After the acquisition of the Southeastern Schools by Keiser Career College, Sean went his own way and further honed his massage skills working at the Jacksonville Health and Wellness Center specializing in pain management, structural bodywork and structural rehabilitation. Sean is now a personal trainer and works with his clients on both levels; as a massage therapist and as a personal trainer. He has created a structural rehabilitation program helping client’s to strengthen weak areas and re-establish new memory patterns. This combination of massage to lengthen and rehabilitation to strengthen has shown to be a successful combination in treating chronic pain long term.

Sean is now the Director of the Florida School of Advanced Bodywork where he also teaches Kinesiology and Clinical Structural Bodywork classes. Sean has taught at institutions such as Keiser Career College, Furman University, Clemson University, University of North Florida and Jacksonville School of Massage. Sean has been a Florida Continuing Education Provider since 2003.

Kimberly Romano Johnson, LMT Instructor

Kimberly was first introduced to massage therapy as an associate at The Spa at Amelia Island Plantation, a 4 diamond beach resort on Amelia Island, FL .  She became very interested in the principles behind massage therapy and found herself wanting to learn more about the benefits of therapeutic bodywork.

Kimberly enrolled at the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy of Jacksonville in 2002.  After receiving her license in 2004, she began her role, as a licensed massage therapist, at the Spa where she was currently employed. She has worked in a variety of massage facilities, as well as built her own private practice.

Kimberly felt a desire to share her knowledge and experiences with new and upcoming therapists, so, in 2007, Kimberly joined the Southeastern School’s team of instructors as a teacher’s assistant, where she then later taught Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and Clinical Neuromuscular Therapy.  After 7 years of instructing, she took on the role as Program Director and Clinical Supervisor at Southeastern College.

Kimberly’s love for teaching and passions for massage therapy makes her a great addition to the Florida School of Advanced Bodywork.  Kimberly teaches Fundamentals of Massage Therapy in Principles and Practice/Swedish class.  This class allows Kimberly the ability to teach and support the industry by providing the most advanced education to keep the graduates of the Florida School of Advanced Bodywork at the top in their field.  Currently, she is growing her clinical practice at Advanced Muscle Therapy in Fernandina Beach , FL.

Victoria King, LMT Clinical Instructor

Victoria has a strong passion of helping others and belief in the healing power of touch.  Coming from a large family of medical professionals, it was only natural for her to work in the health field as well.

Deciding to follow her passion, she enrolled in the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy of Jacksonville, Florida, graduating in April 2008.  After becoming licensed as a massage therapist, she began working at Jacksonville Health and Wellness Center.  This is where she honed her skills in pain management therapy and gained an understanding of chiropractic, as well as the efficacy of different types of hands-on bodywork.

Victoria went on to work for Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute, where she works with physical therapists, helping patients who were recuperating for injuries, illnesses and surgeries.  In this clinical setting she worked with patients helping them to regain movement and manage pain.

Victoria shares her experience in the clinical massage environment as the school’s Student Clinic Instructor.  She manages the clinic while teaching the practical application of Clinical Structural Bodywork to our soon to be graduates.  This is an important role in the development of the students into a successful Massage and Bodywork Therapist.
